Workshop

Devon Applied Arts Workshop

After 14 years of working from a studio on the side of our cottage in Silverton, we have moved to a new, bigger, purpose built workshop space at Dunsmore Farm on the outskirts of the village. We have been looking for a new space to expand into for a while and have often wanted to run courses, something that the size of our home studio has not enabled us to do.

We have set up the “Devon Applied Arts Workshop” with the stained glass artist, Matthew Le Breton, as a space we can all work from, which also has a communal teaching space dedicated to practical arts and crafts.

From September 2018 started running courses in ceramics and glass (please see the course page for more details). We know how hard it can be to find a proper teaching space for “hands-on” crafts, so in time we hope to encourage other makers in more Applied Arts disciplines to use the space to teach from.

For more updates about the studio and courses being offered, please get in touch or sign up to the mailing list below and we will send out notifications as they develop.

We will be writing some blog posts soon to show how the workshop journey has developed over the last months….
